Today, Shanghai Qualitywell invites everyone to explore the profound meaning of the new year. People born in the Year of the Snake are often considered to possess elegant demeanor, exceptional analytical skills, and a strong desire for personal growth. According to the Five Elements theory, 2025 is the Year of Ji-Si, with Ji representing wood, and wood being associated with the color green. Therefore, this year is called the "Green Snake Year." Green symbolizes vitality, hope, and energy, suggesting that all things will thrive and grow with abundant life force. Moreover, the shedding of skin by the snake has long been regarded by ancient cultures as a symbol of rebirth and transformation, indicating that the Year of the Snake may bring significant changes, growth, and new opportunities. In contrast, in Western cultures, the snake often carries a more complex and ambiguous symbolism, sometimes associated with danger, deception, or temptation, as depicted in the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible.
To celebrate the Spring Festival, the employees of Shanghai Qualitywell have organized two events. First, on New Year's Eve, we will hang up spring couplets, with many featuring snake-related themes, such as "Silver Snake Brings Auspiciousness" or "As the Dragon Departs, the Snake Brings Joy and Prosperity," adding a rich cultural touch to the festivities. Next, we will light fireworks to illuminate the night sky, symbolizing the bright farewell to the past year and a warm welcome to the new one. After the eve of the lunar new year, on the fourth day of the old lunar year, we will hold a "Welcoming the God of Wealth" ceremony, wishing for abundant wealth and success in the coming year, setting the stage for a prosperous year ahead.
